“Taking erotic pictures of a strange kind.” Carlo Giovannini is an art photographer that is greatly inspired by a vacation trip. It was the year 2004 and Carlo went to Romania and since than his work changed drastically. He himself describes it as: “taking erotic pictures of a strange kind”.

With his strange erotica he is constantly trying to create certain situations. The work that is shown in this article are all part of photo shoots of situations. The artist refers to it as situational erotic photo theatre.

Another thing about his photography is that he also photographs himself in his work. Why a man?“ To stress the fact that eros is a question of relation between the two sexes. In this way the processes of desire seduction and erotic interplay are shown.”
