For this article I had the delightful opportunity to interview nude model Mandy K.

Mandy is a fairly new, but quite successful model. She’s been born in Los Altos, California and currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio. Mandy K has been modelling for only thirteen months now, but has already been featured in multiple interesting publications, such as:

You’re a model for 13 months now, but when did your interest in erotic art photography become serious?

I have been interested in Erotic Art for quite sometime but only have been serious about it for the last year or so. I have many printed publications and spend a fair amount of time on various websites that pique my interest. I have many interests when it comes to the different genres of photography and hope to expand upon these different interests with my modelling.

Do you have a nude model or art photographer that inspires (or inspired) you?
There is a female photographer by the name of Sascha Huttenhain that I am completely inspired by, so much so, that when I see her images I can immediately recognize them as hers without even looking at the copyright. She has no idea who I am and I will probably never have the chance to meet her or create with her but her work, in my eyes, is special. Her models are extremely physically fit and get into poses that show the models strength and maybe this is why I am so drawn to her work. I love work that shows the female form as both beautiful and feminine but also strong, I know what it takes to keep in shape and I admire the models she chooses as well. Her technical abilities with lighting and composition with strong figures is breathtaking.

What is your personal favourite photo of yourself?
My personal favourite photograph of me doesn't even really show me at all! I love original creative images and to me the image called "Heavy Metal" has creativity and originality. This image was taken at an old warehouse near my home. I had wanted to shoot this machine for quite sometime. D Keith Fueroghne contacted me for a shoot and I took one look at his work and knew he was the one to take this image. He came all the way from L.A California to work with me and I was thrilled. He composed and lit this image beautifully. I had no idea how I wanted to shoot this but he did, and knew he wanted me to get inside the machine to give the image the feel that I was being manufactured by this machine. I reluctantly got inside this old dirty machine and he took a few shots and said to me "I got it" when he sent me this image I knew this would be one of my all time favourite images. This image is on exhibit at the Infusion Gallery in L.A California and hangs in my home.
